The recent appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman of the FTII Society has created a huge uproar among students of FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) Pune. Not only his appointment, students are also miffed with the eight members who have been appointed as the governing council. Actor Ranbir Kapoor has extended his support to the students.
In a video posted by FTII Students Body, Ranbir supports them saying, “There needs to be a freedom of speech, there needs to be dialogue between the governing council and students and see everything is in harmony…you should give them a fair chance, fair opportunity, correct faculty and correct syllabus.”
“Students aspire to be better film makers. It’s only fair they ask for people to look up to…” said the actor.
