Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar’s All India Bakchod Roast, which took place in Mumbai on December 20, has been a subject of debate since it went online on January 28. Though the video has been removed from YouTube, people from all walks of life have criticised and supported the show in their own way.
While some Bollywood celebs have openly supported the roast asking others to have an open mind, the others have slammed it by calling it offensive and against our culture. And then there are some who have urged to talk about the other important things in the country.
The latest B’Town celeb to express his dislike is Nana Patekar. The veteran actor said that he will never participate in a show like this as he finds it wrong.
“I have heard about it, but I will not do it. If my mother, sister, wife or daughter are seated there, I don’t think it will be right to say such things. In fact if we are sitting in a room with a group of friends and there is a woman we control our tongues. We won’t use any bad words while talking. That is our culture and doing it is right or wrong that is up to you to decide, but I find it wrong and I won’t do it. I have heard that it was a ticketed show. I am not into such things. I don’t like it,” the actor said.
“I don’t know about open or close minded. Whether your mind is open or closed, I don’t like such things. My only concern is that others should never be instigated to do such things. Such things happen in foreign countries but here such things are not easily digestible. I don’t like it,” he added.
Nana Patekar is gearing up for the release of ‘Ab Tak Chhappan 2’, a sequel to his 2004 movie ‘Ab Tak Chappan’. The movie will hit the screens on February 27.
