Remember the time when Anushka Sharma was blamed for beau Virat Kohli’s poor performance during the Test Series in England. BCCI hinted that WAGs accompanying the players are a distraction. But this time it’s the other way around.
Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly feels that Team India needs to be with their near and dear ones before they play in the World Cup 2015. He added that the players need to rejuvenate before the series.
“What this team needs is rest. It has been a long tour and it’s time they meet their families before competing in the all-important World Cup. If it were up to me, I would fly some of them back home,” Ganguly explained on Star Sports.
He further said that it’s a benefit for the Australian team to play at the Tri-Nation series on the home ground with their friends and families.
“See, the reason I won’t compare someone like (Steve) Smith and (Virat) Kohli is because while Smith goes home to his girlfriend after each match, Kohli has to go from hotel to hotel. The players need their families to come out hard in the World Cup,” Ganguly said.
Do you think it’s time Virat comes back home and spends some quality time with girlfriend Anushka?
