A key witness in the Salman Khan hit-and-run case requested a session court today for police protection. The court asked him to submit a written application.
According to Times of India, Public Prosescutor Pradeep Gharat said, “Dr. Shashikant Pawar has asked for a constable till the next hearing. The court has asked him to give a written application but he said he will not give a written application but just prayed for security.”
Meanwhile, the session court has adjourned the next hearing of the Salman Khan hit-and-run case till January 22 as the actor’s lawyer is unwell and could not make it to the court today.
On September 28, 2002, Salman’s car had allegedly mowed down five pavement dwellers, killing one and injuring four others outside a bakery in suburban Bandra.
