Kareena gets the jitters post ‘love-jihad’ controversy

After a morphed photograph of hers featured on the cover of a magazine by a religious group, Kareena Kapoor Khan has beefed up her security. The actress has hired two personal bodyguards and has also upped the security at her Bandra residence.

According to Mid-Day, a source said, “With the ongoing love jihad debate, Kareena is concerned about her safety. Unlike a few other stars, she never felt the need to be escorted or chaperoned, until now.”

Although there is no such serious threat to her life, the actress is taking precautionary measures by hiring bodyguards.

The cover of Himalay Dhwani, a magazine by Durga Vahini, the young women’s wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, featured Kareena’s face half covered with a niqab and half with a bindi and sindoor in her hair.

Kareena is married to Saif Ali Khan. They tied the knot in October 2012 and had received death threats before their wedding too.
