Juhi Parmar: I will be more than happy if I get to play more negative roles in the future

Juhi Parmar became a popular name in every Indian household as Kumkum because of her hit show during the 2000s of the same name. The actress has been doing different kinds of roles in her career and wants to explore more. In her career, she played the role of a young girl, a wife and also a mother. While many actresses shy away from playing the role of a mother on screen, Juhi has no such reservations.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, when asked if she has any objections playing the role of a mother, she said, “I have been around in the industry for two decades and feel blessed that I am still being offered good work on TV. I am grateful for the variety of work that I am getting and I don’t want to complain about the age of my characters. In my last show, Shani, though I played the mother, she was a twin so I enjoyed playing a negative and positive mum on the show. It was a strong role and it had many facets which made it quite interesting for me to play.”

Juhi Parmar usually played positive characters. However, in her last show Shani, she played a negative role. So will she play more such negative roles in future too? Juhi answered, “I completely enjoyed playing the role of Sandhya, in Shani. I will be more than happy if I get to play more negative roles in the future. It’s a lot more fun and you have a huge range to explore.”

Well, we can’t wait to see her on screen with another interesting character.

On the personal front, Juhi Parmar and Sachin Shroff got divorced this year. The couple was married for 9 years.
