Fire breaks out on the sets of the show Jhansi Ki Rani; no casualty reported

A massive fire broke out on the sets of the show, Khoob Ladi Mardaani — Jhansi Ki Rani. The incident happened yesterday at 2:30 am. The set is situated in Aamgaon, two hours away from Mumbai. Producer Abhimanyu Singh confirmed to Times of India that no one got injured and there are no casualties reported. He said that when the fire broke out, no one was luckily on the floor. He also said the team is looking for the reason to why this fire broke out on the sets. The show will now move to Naigaon, where the original set of the show actually is located.

Confirming the news to the daily, he said, “Yes, a fire broke out on one of the floors of our studio. We are still trying to find what led to it, but prima facie, it could be because of a short circuit. Thank God, everyone is safe and there is no casualty. This is the set where we were shooting the initial episodes of the show. Now, we will move to Naigaon, where the original set of the show is located.”

The show has Anushka Sen playing the role of Rani Laxmibai and Vikkas Manaktala playing the role of Gangadhar Rao Newalkar. Anushka and the whole team of Khoob Ladi Mardaani — Jhansi Ki Rani are undergoing strenuous training for the role. The actress is taking daily horse riding lessons for her role. The training began 10 days ago. “We are waking up at 6 am and hitting Juhu beach for the training. My fight master gave me the confidence to be self-assured in front of the horses so that I could ride them.” Sen said in an interview.

The show would focus on the teenage years of Manikarnika with a special emphasis on how she tackled British politics of the time as well as combated internal politics within her state.
