An actor often faces trying times that put him or her in a situation where a choice has to be made between duty and health. Actress Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of ‘Yeh Hai Mohabaatein’ fame had a tough time shooting her scenes for an episode on Sunday owing to unexpected illness.
A source from the set of YHM shares that work-related stress and food poisoning made her unwell. In fact, Divyanka had to leave shoot mid-way owing to extreme fatigue, stomach ache as well as head ache.
When Divyanka’s illness got unbearable, her friendly and cooperative co-actors Karan Patel, Aly Goni, Sangram Singh and Shireen rushed her to the hospital where the doctor took her under observation. But, due to lack of episode bank, Divyanka insisted on resuming the shoot as soon as possible.
Hence, she was given intravenous medication for quick recovery. The actress even walked that extra mile to show professionalism, by finish the shoot of the episode. One of her senior co-actors even served her home madekhichadi (salted rice and pulse porridge).
On being approached to share a few words about her sudden illness, Divyanka said, “My work comes first. I became unwell suddenly and my co-actors took good care of me. Everybody was ready to keep me home as there’s no one to look after me back home. In this city of no relatives around, I am blessed to have some amazing co-actors. I have resumed shooting now.”
