Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma-starrer “Bombay Velvet” is in news again. The editor of the movie Prerna Saigal is upset with the arrangements made by the producers of the movie for her in New York. The movie is co-edited by Hollywood’s Thelma Shoonmaker, who is the editor for Martin Scrocese’s films.
In December last year, Prerna had reported a burglary in her apartment. Her iPad was stolen, but the hard disk with the footage of the forthcoming movie was safe. She sent a mail to Phantom films mentioning about the incident.
In an indirect way, her mail shows that Prerna was not happy with the accommodation provided as she had asked them for a safe private room and bathroom with wifi.
Post the incident Prerna had shifted to a proper hotel.
“Bombay Velvet” is a neo-noir drama based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book Mumbai Fables. It tells the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj, and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie, and how their hopes and dreams collide with their individual realities. It also features Karan Johar and Raveena Tandon.
