WWE Clash of Champions 2019: Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks deliver the match of the night

One of the eagerly awaited returns in the WWE, in 2019, was that of Sasha Banks. While it looked like Sasha was sticking to her ‘face’ character, out came The Boss with the blue hair, ripping apart anyone in her wake. And who was amongst her first victims? Raw Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch! However, The Man was not going to take things lying down and what followed was weeks of back and forth between the ladies before a championship match was set up at Clash of Champions.

Now that their Clash of Champions bout is over, many would agree that the two ladies delivered the match of the night! Starting things off was a revenge-seeking Becky who took the fight to Sasha but eventually, the latter took control of the match. A Meteora almost cost Lynch the match but a second attempt was shunned by a dropkick to Banks’ midsection. A Banks Statement was countered with a Bexploder suplex. After another near-fall, Sasha was frustrated as she tried for another Bank Statement, but Becky upped the game with a Disarm-her. The two tried to pin the other, but near falls would be an understatement. Just like Banks, Lynch too was frustrated.

After two backstabbers, Sasha applied the Bank Statement again, which looked pretty painful but the champ fought through it. After targetting Becky’s left arm, a steel chair was added to the mix. A shining wizard with a chair was followed but Lynch still managed to survive. Becky was able to get a hold of the chair but accidentally swung it at the referee. She then hit her opponent with the chair but Sasha ran away from the ring and into the stands. Becky followed her and the two brawled through the stands which led to Lynch applying the Disarm-her on Banks.

Eventually, the two competitors returned to the squared circle with Sasha driving Becky into the barricade. However, Corey Graves announced that the match has been officially called off and hence, the winner via disqualification was Becky Lynch. Lynch used the steel chair to beat up Banks and used the same chair to apply a painful-looking Disarm-her. Sasha was left in blinding pain as the officials arrived to break apart the two.
