Will Gamora return in Guardians of Galaxy Vol 3? Zoe Saldana spills the beans

When the epic battle of Avengers: Endgame concluded, Thanos and his army from the past were killed. We witnessed the Avengers villain disintegrate after Tony Stark snapped his infinity-stone-studded hand. The million-dollar question was: Where is Gamora. The Guardians of the Galaxy character died in Avengers: Infinity War after Thanos sacrificed her for the soul stone in Vormir. However, Gamora was seen in Avengers: Endgame walking from the past into the future with the Mad Titan by her side. Her disappearance in the 2019 Marvel Cinematic Universe movie left everyone curious about her role in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

The Studio hasn’t confirmed her fate yet. While Marvel Studio and James Gunn has been tight-lipped about the possible spoiler, the Russo Brothers had commented that Gamora’s return is in the hands of Gunn. “We don’t know whether she was dusted or whether she survived. That’s probably a question that Guardians will answer… Quill doesn’t know either,” the Avengers: Endgame directors said in an interview.

Now, Zoe Saldana has commented on her role in GotG 3. The actress, who participated in the Ace Comic-Con, echoed the Russo Brothers’ sentiments about Gamora. She said that “it all depends” on Gunn and Marvel. “It all depends. The technical answer is it all depends on what Marvel and James Gunn desire to do with the Guardians and with Gamora’s fate. I would eventually, there’s a part of me that wants her to go back, find her way back to the Guardians but there’s also a part of me that wants to explore a bad Gamora,” she said, as reported by ComicBook.com

“I’ve never seen that and she’s, you know, she’s considered the most lethal assassin, the most lethal woman in the galaxy so I would want to see what that wrath looks like also because it would just give me layers to sort of work on. But yeah, I want her to get back to the Guardians,” she added. We would be interested in seeing a dark Gamora as well.
