Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda, as we all know has marked his entry into film production titled, King of the Hill, in Hyderabad. The Arjun Reddy star announced about his production house last year and now, he has finally revealed about his first production film. The film is titled ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha” and guess what? Vijay Deverakonda introduces director Tharun Bhascker as the lead hero of the film. Yes, you read that right! Tharun has featured in a couple of films as a character artist but this is for the first time, he is making debut as a lead actor.
The title of Meeku Maathrame Cheptha has been announced in the most hilarious and unique way. The Dear Comrade star took to Instagram to share the link of the video announcing the film’s first title. He wrote, “While we were finding it painfully hard to break into the industry and make a film, I decided…The day I make it, I’ll start a production house… I realize how hard it is to do this and how risky but what is life without a challenge, so with most of my savings on the line I reveal to you King Of The Hill’s 1st production Title!.”
Vijay Deverakonda’s rise to stardom began with the National Award-winning 2016 blockbuster romantic comedy, Pelli Choopulu. The film was directed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam and was remade in Hindi titled Mitron, featuring Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra. It is interesting to know how the director of Pelli Choopulu today turns the lead actor of Vijay’s first production film.
