Vicky Kaushal began his journey in the magical land of films as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap for his hit crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur, in 2012. After working in theatre for a while, he started his acting career with minor roles in films such as Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and Bombay Velvet. It was in 2015 that Vicky got his first leading role in the critically acclaimed Masaan, after Rajkummar Rao backed out.
Today, the actor is one of the most well-known and adored names in the Hindi film industry. He also won the much-deserved National Award for his last release Uri: The Surgical Strike and has garnered a huge fan following with his brilliant performance in films such as Raazi, Manmarziyaan and Sanju. Currently, Vicky is busy gearing up for his upcoming projects. He will next be seen in Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship opposite Bhumi Pednekar, Sardar Udham Singh and Karan Johar’s multi starrer period drama Takht.
Other than being a sought-after actor, Vicky is also a social media celebrity. He has millions of followers and actively shares posts every now and then. Today, the actor uploaded a picture in which he can be seen standing in front of a wall with superhero graffiti on it. He is sporting a black t-shirt paired with blue jeans and is staring at Iron Man, Flash and Batman. However, he revealed his favourite in the caption, which reads: “… but I ‘heart’ Shaktimaan”.
