We’re still reeling from the after-effects of Avengers: Endgame, which was the same feeling we went through at the end of Avengers: Infinity War (2018) as well. SPOILERS ALERT In the first 15 minutes of the film though, we had to say goodbye to a beloved MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) character, Loki. In an attempt to save his brother and the world, the God of Mischief tried to trick Thanos but ultimately gets killed. Fans were left upset with this shocking twist and mourned for him as well.
However, the sun shone on Loki fans yet again when a slate of TV series’ was announced on various MCU characters, one of which was Loki. We don’t have a lot of details on the show which has got MCU fans very excited. In some more good news, Tom Hiddleston has finally spilled some beans on what we can expect from the series. When The Hollywood Reporter quizzed Tom about the upcoming series and what he can reveal, the actor stated that it’s a constant source of surprise and delight for him that the films have connected with people.
Talking about how complex, intelligent, vulnerable, angry, lost, broke and witty Loki is, Hiddleston saw playing him as an amazing opportunity which has grown into this network of movies. The actor never expected it and feels very fortunate that he was able to connect with people. Tom took the classic MCU route of keeping things mum but he did disclose where the TV series would take the character.
“All I can tell you is that it is called Loki. It is a new departure … but I can’t explain why,” Hiddleston confessed.
