Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s christening event has been the talk of the town and the general public were super excited about the same. But later they got infuriated as the ceremony was a private affair and just two photos from the event were released. In one of the images, we saw that the royals had assembled for a family portrait but two important people were MIA: The Queen and husband Prince Philip.
Reports on how the Queen will not be present as she had some engagement decided earlier were doing rounds on the internet and now as per Express.co.uk, the exact reason has been revealed.
As per the publication, a royal commentator Rob Jobson told Sunrise’s David Koch that the same happened due to a calendar error by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Koch said, “So originally before we get on to Archie, we were told that the Queen couldn’t make it because of a prior engagement. But it seems it was a diary blunder by Meghan and Harry, is that right?
Mr. Robson replied: “Yeah, they didn’t do the checking by the sounds of it. Then Queen Elizabeth was up in Scotland as she always is for this week at Holyroodhouse Castle. Then she had already arranged to have a weekend with the Duke of Edinburgh in Sandringham.”
He added, “So they just didn’t get the diary dates right, I mean it is not the first time, that the Queen, who is the great grandmother, after all, has missed a christening.”
