The Lion King is a beloved Disney classic that ages like wine and is relatable for every generation. To see the story of Simba, from a cub to the King of the jungle, The Lion King is a tale which perfectly epitomizes the circle of life. The live-action version of The Lion King is nearing its release and will be a welcome change for the ones, who may have not seen the animated film. The voice cast is legendary this time around too as Donald Glover voices Simba, Beyonce voices Nala, James Earl Jones is back as Simba’s father Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor voices Scar, Billy Eichner voices Timon and Seth Rogen voices Pumbaa.
Meanwhile, when it comes to the Hindi version of The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan will be voicing the father-son pair of Mufasa and Simba. Other voice actors include Ashish Vidyarthi as Scar, Shreyas Talpade as Timon, Sanjay Mishra as Pumbaa and Asrani as Zazu. Shreyas took to Instagram to recall an interesting anecdote of how he played Shah Rukh’s best friend in Om Shanti Om (2007) and will now play SRK’s son Aryan’s BFF in The Lion King.
Shreyas’ caption reads as, “Thank you @disneyfilmsindia for thinking of me as #Timon and making me a part of something as classic as #LionKing. PS. @iamsrk I played your best friend in Om Shanti Om and Now 12 years later I get to play #AryanKhan’s best friend!
