Sonam K Ahuja is is known to take a stand on issues and often voices her opinion on social media. Sonam has been amongst the first few celebrities to have come out in support of Tanushree Dutta. Today, she attended the Vogue We the Women conclave in Bengaluru and talked about the Me Too movement in Bollywood. She also expressed utter disgust at what happened with an employee of Phantom Films in 2015. An employee had accused Vikas Bahl of assaulting her in Goa during a promotional event of Bombay Velvet in Goa.
Sonam said at the discussion today that she supports the woman and reading the article of what happened to her was gut wrenching. Sonam also said that her father reacted to Tanushree Dutta and Vikas Bahl’s incident by saying that whatever happens to these men, they deserve it. Sonam also said that she has spoken up in the past and will do so, so that it gives someone hope to continue their fight against the wrongdoings they have faced. When Barkha Dutt asked if people from the industry will take a stand against Vikas Bahl, Sonam said Kangana has commented on the issue.

Sonam commended Kangana for taking a stand on issues and for speaking up. She said, “Kangana being Kangana Ranaut, she says a lot of stuff. Sometimes, it’s hard to take her seriously, but I love the fact that she has spunk and she says what she believes in.”
Kangana has said that during the filming of Queen, Vikas Bahl used to boast about having casual sex with a new partner every day. She also voiced her support for the woman who has accused Vikas Bahl.
