Sidharth Malhotra may have been off the radar for a while but the actor is all set to return to the big screens next month with Jabariya Jodi alongside his ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ co-star Parineeti Chopra. The trailer dropped a few days ago and the actor who will be seen in never-before-seen avatar has been lapping up praises since the release of the trailer. Catering to the mass pan-India audience, this will be his most masala film till date. Sidharth will be playing the character of Abhay Singh from Patna and in an interview he revealed his prep for the same.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Sidharth revealed that it was really important to get the look and styling right since the character was a colourful one. He said, “We decided to give him an earring, several rings on his fingers and coloured hair. After that, I worked on the accent, which is a blend of Bhojpuri, and Magahi spoken in Patna.”
To get into the skin of the character, Sidharth revealed that he trained to speak in that accent for almost two months. “It was a part of a two-month workshop before the shoot. I also worked on it on my own since I had a certain body language to carry through the film.” He also added that he was drawn to this endearing character because the story is fresh.
After Jabariya Jodi, Sidharth will be seen in back-to-back films. He will first appear with Tara Sutaria in Marjaavaan and then in Shershaah with Kiara Advani.
