It’s been a year that Shah Rukh Khan has been missing from the big screen. He was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero in 2018 along with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. However, the actor doesn’t fail to be in the headlines, be it for his recent interaction with fans on micro-blogging site Twitter or for his upcoming season of Ted Talks. However, on Sunday, SRK grabbed the headlines once again but for an entirely different reason. The superstar, who has been known as the king of Bollywood, has also emerged as the king of Twitter.
Yes! The Happy New Year star has now become the most followed Indian celebrity on the micro-blogging site. SRK achieved the milestone after he touched the mark of 39 million followers on Twitter. Clearly, King Khan enjoys unparalleled stardom across the world. And this was evident once again after the delighted fans ended up making #SRK39Million as the top trend on Twitter.
The fans made several tweets hailing the 53-year superstar for his magnificent stardom. In fact, they also recalled the moment when SRK had said “Main khud Bollywood hoon” during an #AskSRK session on Twitter. Lauding the superstar, fans stated that after becoming the most followed Indian celebrity on Twitter, King Khan has certainly proved his words.
To note, SRK is followed by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan on the list with total followers of 38.7 million on the micro-blogging site.
Meanwhile, King Khan is working on two to three scripts and is likely to announce his next project in a month or two. As of now, he is enjoying his time with his family and kids. “I am thinking and taking some time. I am working on two or three scripts and, Inshallah, as soon as they are ready, I am ready,” he added.
