Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan never wrote a script for him, here’s why
B-Town is well aware of the envious relationship Salman Khan shares with his family especially with his dad Salim Khan. The duo who share a very thick relationship on the personal level seldom is seen talking about their professional relationship.
Salim Khan has given Hindi cinema some iconic movies including Sholay. However, surprisingly the much-acclaimed screenwriter has never written a script for his son Salman. Why?
Well, Salim Khan during an interview with a news channel revealed the reason behind this. “If today I approach an actor with a script and try to hard sell it, he’s going to wonder “if your script is so damn good, why aren’t you making it with your son Salman?” The other things is that films flop. If that happens Salman will think, “dad got me into trouble”, and if it’s a hit he’ll take the full credit for it,” said dad Salim jokingly.
Well, this was a smart move, isn’t it?
Salim Khan has often been seen defending Salman as and when the superstar has caught himself in the storm of controversies. Last year when Salman made a controversial statement during the promotions of his movie Sultan, Salim Khan rose to his defense apologizing on his behalf. Salman during an interview had compared the excruciating pain he underwent during the shoot to that with women who got raped.
On the work front, Salman Khan is currently in Austria shooting for his upcoming film Tiger Zinda Haiwhich also stars Katrina Kaif. He will also be seen in Tubelight and Judwaa 2 later this year.
