After shooting in the exotic and snowy locales of Austria for the first schedule of Tiger Zinda Hai, the team will now head out to Abu Dhabi where they will be having a 65-day schedule.
According to a leading tabloid, a huge and lavish set is being built in the Emirates as the construction of a 20,000 sq metre back lot has already begun. The best part about this set is that the team is getting help from the design crew of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
An insider revealed to the tabloid, “A team of 300 people is working on the production; it includes Abu Dhabi-based freelancers and crew members from India, the US and the UK. Demonstrating the government’s support for the city’s growing production industry, the UAE military will be providing military equipment, including choppers for the shoot.”
Director Ali Abbas Zafar said, “A film like Tiger Zinda Hai requires [to be made on] a certain scale, which we found in Abu Dhabi. Keeping all practical measures in mind, the kind of support that we have got from them in terms of infrastructure is phenomenal. That, along with some stunning real locations, makes shooting in Abu Dhabi special.”
Tiger Zinda Hai will see the onscreen reunion of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and is the sequel to the 2012 hit Ek Tha Tiger which was helmed by Kabir Khan. In Austria, the duo shot some high octane action sequences and also filmed a love ballad titled Dil Diyan Gallan.
