If there is one film that the Indian fans are eagerly awaiting, it is Ranveer Singh starrer Kapil Dev biopic, ‘83. Based on the 1983 World Cup winning Indian cricket team, Kabir Khan is all set to merge Ranveer Singh’s personality with Kapil Dev’s in ‘83. The film will showcase the life and story of the legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev who won India’s first cricket World Cup against West Indies at the Lords Stadium in England. Ranveer Singh and the rest of the cast of ‘83 jetted off to Dharamshala for a workshop this week.
While the goal of the workshop is to train the actors to fit into the skin of the various legendary cricketers, Kabir Khan also wanted them to bond like cricket team members do. A glimpse of their bonding was seen this week when Ranveer and the rest of the actors were hanging out with coach Balwinder Singh Sandhu. Now, today, Ranveer shared a picture with the legend himself, Kapil Dev.
In the photo, Ranveer & Kapil can be seen sporting the Indian cricket team’s blue jersey and can be seen talking to each other. Kapil Dev seems to be giving out some important tips to Ranveer. Ranveer also captioned the picture aptly as, “Becoming the Hurricane #KapilDev #Legend #JourneyBegins @83thefilm @kabirkhankk.”
‘83 is being helmed by Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan and stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. The film has many actors like Pankaj Tripathi plays the coach Man Singh, Chirag Patil plays his father, Sandip Patil, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, while Hardy Sandhu will be seen as Madan Lal.
