In a report by Mid-Day, it is stated that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of a DJ in Brahmastra who leaves his house against his father’s wishes to pursue his dreams. While chasing after his dreams, the film will focus on Ranbir’s journey in which he will unravel various secrets about his hidden superpowers. The report also stated that every character in the film will be seen having some superpower. However, Ranbir’s superpower will be in his palms with which he would be able to unleash fire. Also, Ranbir has undergone immense training for the film. He learnt Indian martial arts like Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai.
As per the source of Mid-Day, “Ranbir plays a DJ who walks out of his house against his father’s wishes. The story then traces his journey as he tries to fulfil his dreams and discovers his superpowers in the process. The film has some high octane action sequences. Ranbir trained in traditional Indian martial arts, including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai, before the film went on floors in 2017.”
If the report is to be believed, then Ranbir Kapoor will be Bollywood’s very own superhero. While other details are still under the wraps, we can’t wait to see what’s in stores for Alia’s character in the film. Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
