One film that has been intriguing the audiences even before its release is Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra. The film that will bring the off screen lovers on the big screen was earlier slated to release on December 20, 2019. However, owing to the massive amount of VFX work involved in shooting the film, it has been pushed again to the Summer of 2020. Now, Ayan Mukerji has started sharing snippets of how Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Shiva was brought to life on screen, given that his power in the film is Fire.
A day back, Ayan had shared a BTS video of Shiva sessions in which Ranbir was moving too fast from one place to another while Alia was recording on the phone. Now, Ayan shared yet another intriguing detail about Ranbir’s character in which Shiva’s movement is being worked upon. In the photo, Ranbir can be seen sitting on a bench with his movement coach who would help him prepping for his role as Shiva- the guy whose superpower will be fire.
Also, in his caption, director Ayan Mukerji explains how they came to know about Ido Portal and how it became a part of the film. Excerpt from what Ayan wrote says, “As we started on this movie, the first big question to answer was : How do we create the moves for Shiva’s connection with Fire? Fire being the centre of Shiva’s power in Brahmāstra… a power that comes from ancient Indians, from a deeply spiritual place, from within. I had no reference point for what I had written… No comic books, or existing story on which this was based… but for Shiva’s movements, we needed something that worked amazingly as action entertainment, but also had something deeper, something that was created from a very original spiritual place. It was one of the great fortunes for the movie that I found Ido and understood what he did, and that he agreed to work with Ranbir on this..”
Brahmastra is a film that has generated quite a lot of buzz since the time of its inception. It will star Shiva as a guy who can project fire from his palms. Brahmastra stars Alia Bhatt as Isha, Shiva aka Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest, who joins him on his quest to find answers about himself. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy. Brahmastra is now slated to release in the Summer of 2020.
