Yesterday, when Krrish actor Hrithik Roshan took to social media to announce that his father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with ‘early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat’, it shocked the entire nation. From B-town celebs, fans to family and friends, everyone took to social media to express a sense of concern for Rakesh Roshan so much so that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, too wished a speedy recovery to Rakesh Roshan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi retweeted the post shared by the actor and wrote that he is praying for the filmmaker’s good health as he wrote, “Dear Hrithik, praying for the good health of Shri Rakesh Roshan Ji. He is a fighter and I am sure he will face this challenge with utmost courage.”
Now, Rakesh Roshan’s brother and veteran music director, Rajesh Roshan, informed Mumbai Mirror that Rakesh Roshan is recovering well. “He is better now and recovering well. We were all very tense about the surgery and the entire family was in the hospital with him. God willing, he will be up in the next three days and should be discharged from the hospital,” informed Rajesh Roshan. Later, after the surgery, while replying to the Prime Minister, Hrithik Roshan informed all his fans and well-wishers that the surgery was successful as he wrote, “Thank you Sir for your concern and good wishes. I am very happy to inform that according to the doctors his surgery has gone off well.”
