The Sky Is Pink is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Shonali Bose and co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala and Priyanka, the film is slated to release on 11th October. It follows the story of a couple who have been together for 25 years, narrated by their teenage daughter who is diagnosed with Pulmonary fibrosis. The film features Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Suresh Saraf in lead roles and marks PeeCee’s return to Bollywood after 3 years.
In a recent interview, the actress said that she and her husband, American singer Nick Jonas, saw the first cut of the film during a vacation. Apparently, he got emotional and Priyanka saw him wiping away tears. When she asked him if he is crying, Nick replied, “No you are crying.” He went on to say, “Can you facetime Shonali (Bose) as I want to tell her that this is the reason we become actors, for films like this.”
Priyanka also revealed that Nick flew down to India 10 days before he was supposed to for the wedding, to help her family with preparations. He also asked his wife-to-be to focus on the film, which was being shot at the time. Talking about the same, PeeCee shared, “I was getting married during this movie and I missed my dad so much at that time. I missed his presence so much knowing that my mom would be doing it all alone, when it was all that my dad wanted and would keep saying ‘Main suit kab silwaau, main suit kab silwaau’. It was very prevalent in my brain at that time and this definitely help me heal.”
