Parineeti Chopra was last seen in the film Kesari alongside Akshay Kumar. The film did very well at the box office. Currently, the actress is prepping for the role of badminton player Saina Nehwal. Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was going to play Saina’s role and had even started shooting for the same in September last year. However, she walked out recently and was replaced by Parineeti this year.
To hone her badminton skills, Parineeti Chopra wakes up every alternate day at 5 AM for the training. About her prep for the character of Saina Nehwal, she told Mumbai Mirror that her prep starts early as she has booked slots at such time where there are no distractions. She said, “We start at 6 AM and wind up by 8 AM. I will have to live this regimented life for the next nine months but I am pretty kicked about it. I want to do justice to the film and to Saina.”
The Hasee Toh Phasee actress added that this role is perfect for her and director Amole Gupte and the team is making sure she gets everything she needs.
About prepping for Saina Nehwal’s biopic, Pari stated that everything has to be well documented and it’s important to imbibe all information and to present it on-screen. She said that she is happy to do the film but also very nervous.
