Naam Shabana Box Office Occupancy Report: Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar’s film opens on a low note
Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar’s film Naam Shabana has finally hit the theatres today and reviews pouring in for the movie are average. But, it is Taapsee’s kickass performance which stood out, both for the critics and the viewers, but the plotline left many unimpressed.
According to Box Office India, the occupancy rate has been low in the morning shows. The opening was as less as 15% in terms of the occupancy report. It’s way too early to judge the film as it might pick up in the evening shows. The positive word-of-mouth might help the movie to earn at the box office. It’ll be interesting to see how much the film fare on its opening day. Will it able to attract the audience to the theatres? This only time will tell!
The trailer of the film created a lot of curiosity among the viewers. Talking about the film at the trailer launch, director Neeraj Pandey said, “Let me put it that way – it’s (Naam Shabana) a spin-off and that one scene in Baby made an impact on the audience and that’s how we came about making a film on the character Shabana.”
Adding to this, Taapsee said, “I might be the face of the film but nothing would have been possible if Neeraj wouldn’t have got actors like Akshay, Anupam, Danny and Prithviraj on board. I’m glad that a star like Akshay is backing the film.”
Will it be able to earn well at the box office? Let’s wait!
