Oh what a night it has been for movies and TV at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The annual summer award show took place on June 17 and it was packed with the best of pop culture from the year gone by. Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame led the nominations pack and boy, they won big. The hit HBO show, which ended its run a month ago, took home the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Show whereas Avengers: Endgame took home the golden popcorn for the Best Movie.

That’s not all. The award show presented Robert Downey Jr with the Best Hero for his mind-blowing performance in Avengers: Endgame. Josh Brolin’s Thanos was named the Best Villian. While the Avengers movie won three awards, Marvel Cinematic Universe took home another golden popcorn thanks to Captain Marvel. The Brie Larson starrer won the Award for Best Fight. The fight sequence between Captain Marvel vs. Minn-Erva was nominated and it won. On the other hand, Lady Gaga was awarded the Best Performance in a Movie for A Star Is Born.

Our beloved Peter Kevinsky aka Noah Centineo took home two awards himself. The actor who played the heartthrob in Netflix’s To All The Boy I’ve Loved Before won Breakthrough Performance and shared the Best Kiss award with Lana Condor for the same flick.
