Bollywood has stood divided on Sonu Nigam’s Azaan row. And now controversy’s favourite child Mika Singh has given his valuable opinion on Sonu Nigam’s comment on having issues with the loudspeakers, especially during morning Azaan.
The ‘Gabru’ hit-maker took to Twitter to speak about the boiling controversy where he requested Sonu Nigam to change his house and live somewhere else if he has issues with the loudspeakers. He tweeted, “Big bro I respect u lot as a singer .. I think you should change your house and stay somewhere else instead of changing loud speakers.”
Mika Singh also said that he has no personal issues Sonu Nigam but he did not agree with the controversial statements. And, the versatile singer also pointed out that he and Sonu must have performed in several jagrans which were loud.
Mika however, deleted all his tweets concerned with Sonu Nigam minutes later. But, a 6-minute long video is still available on Mika Singh’s Twitter wall where he can be seen talking about the entire controversy.
Apart from Mika Singh, celebs like Gul Panag, Renuka Sahane, veteran film-maker Mahesh Bhatt, Anupam Kher and fellow singer Shaan among others got vocal about their thoughts over the hot news.
The entire controversy started when Sonu Nigam triggered a debate by quoting Azaan as “forced religiousness.”
He had tweeted, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India. And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison? I don’t believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don’t follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True? (sic).”
