Martin Freeman who is known for his portrayal of Dr John Watson in the famous Sherlock show, has confirmed his role in the sequel to the blockbuster film, Black Panther. The Sherlock actor while talking to Collider said that he will be coming back to the Black Panther 2 when the film goes on floor. The actor essayed the role of a CIA Agent called Everett Ross in the film, Black Panther which had Chadwick Boseman in the lead. The film Black Panther went on to be a thundering hit at the box office.
The fans loved Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. The Marvel Cinematic Universe film will see its sequel coming soon. But, an official announcement is still awaited. The makers of the film have not yet confirmed the film’s star cast but Martin Freeman has confirmed being a part of the upcoming sequel. Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con did not hear any news about the film, Black Panther 2. But there is a strong buzz that Ryan Coogler could return as the director of the sequel. This film could be a part of Marvel Studio’s fifth phase.
The film, Black Panther, had managed to gain USD 1.3 billion at the box office across the globe. The created history when it got nominated for the Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther last featured in MCU’s Avengers: Endgame which became the world’s highest grossing film in the world. The fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe are eagerly waiting for this sequel to hit the screens.
