Manju Warrier stranded in Himachal Pradesh; makes SOS call to brother for food help

Malayalam actress Manju Warrier along with the director and crew is stuck in Himachal Pradesh due to heavy floods. The actress is there to shoot for director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s current project titled Kayyatam. The Malayalam actress had been shooting in Himachal Pradesh for more than two weeks, however, little did they know about how heavy floods can put them into trouble. On Monday, Manju revealed that she is trapped at Chatru village only surfaced late on Monday when the actress called up her brother using a satellite phone.

Speaking to News Minute, Manju’s brother, Madhu Warrier revealed that the team is running out of food there. The team is currently at a place called Chhatru, a small village on the way to Kaza, a popular tourist location in the Spiti valley. Manju made only 15 seconds call to her brother asking for help. “She told me that the food would last only for two more days and she asked me to get help. I spoke to V Muraleedharan at noon on Tuesday, he said that he will speak to Himachal CM Jairam Thakur. I asked him if evacuation is not possible, can food be air-dropped? The minister said they will explore all ways,” said Madhu Warrier in a conversation to the portal.

Around 250 people are stranded in Himachal Pradesh with no medium of communication and internet access.

Meanwhile, besides Kayaatam, Manju Warrier has some huge films in her kitty right, including Priyadarshan’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham and Santosh Sivan’s Jack n Jill in Malayalam.
