Actress Manisha Koirala is perhaps one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood, however, her career took a backseat after the actor was diagnosed with cancer. Manisha who battled cancer successfully is now all set to make a comeback with her upcoming movie Dear Maya.
The trailer of the movie was released just recently and Manisha is simply unrecognizable in it. Speaking about facing the camera yet again, Manisha during an event said that she was quite nervous during the entire shoot. “No matter how many times we do it, every time during the first day and the first film, my stomach knots and I get nervous,” said Manisha.
Further, she quipped, “I hope during the whole process of doing the movie my director didn’t get to know I was nervous. I wasn’t sure whether I was doing it right or wrong… A lot has changed in cinema, so I had to adjust to all that. Till the end of the shooting, I was nervous.”
Manisha is known for her exemplary performance in movies like Bombay, Dil Se and Khamoshi among others.
Dear Maya is a story of two girls who play a prank against a local woman (played by Manisha) by writing her love letters, however, things change when the prank turns serious. Helmed by Sunaina Bhatnagar, the movie is scheduled to release on June 2, 2017.
Apart from this, Manisha will also be seen playing Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Nargis Dutt’s role in the Sanjay Dutt’s biopic which is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
