Kangana Ranaut strikes yet another controversy after a clapperboard from the sets of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi went viral. The clapperboard shows Kangana Ranaut as the director of the movie which is a sheer contrast to her claim that she is not taking over the movie as the director. As soon as the picture went viral, Kangana’s spokesperson issued a clarification that Kangana has stepped in to shoot only a few patches on director Krish Jagarlamudi’s behalf and that Krish continues to remain the director for the period drama.
The spokesperson clarification reads, “Krish Jagarlamudi’ is the director of #Manikarnika and will remain so. #KanganaRanaut has stepped in to shoot just the patchwork on his behalf while he fulfills his commitments in another movie, to make sure that #Manikarnika releases on 25th Jan 2019. The clapboard is merely to avoid on set confusion.” Well, Kangana and controversies go hand in hand and this is no different.
Earlier too, Kangana had a tiff with Apurva Asrani over the writing credits for her movie Simran. Their ugly war of words became a daily thing then and we wonder if this tiff over director credit will see the same turn.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi also stars Ankita Lokhande in a pivotal role and will release next year on January 25, 2019. The period drama will see Kangana play the role of a warrior Queen Jhansi, for which, she underwent hardcore physical training.
