Louis Tomlinson recalls One Direction’s final concert in 2015; says he and Niall Horan had a little cry

It was in 2010 when Simon Cowell, on The X Factor UK, made the monumental decision to have five talented individuals come together and form a band called One Direction. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik went on to become a part of one of the biggest boybands in the world. After a whirlwind five years, which featured four chart-topping albums, Zayn shocked fans by announcing his departure from the band. After their fifth album, Made in the A.M., the remaining four members went on an indefinite hiatus.

However, the bandmates are still asked time and again about their 1D days and it’s like a guilty pleasure for Directioners, who yearn for a reunion! Louis Tomlinson is currently busy promoting his latest single Kill My Mind and during his interview with The Guardian, the 27-year-old singer recalled the final concert of One Direction, which took place in November 2015. Revealing his then emotions regarding the finality of One Direction, Louis revealed that he and Niall “had a little cry, because it was such a journey we had been on. That day, in general, was so poignant. As much as you try and prepare yourself, it’s a whole other thing when it comes.”

While one would assume that the much-deserved break would be welcome, such was not the case for Tomlinson who added, “But it wasn’t like that. When you’re used to working however many days, it’s all that more evident when you’re not doing something. Especially in the first six months.”

“My life became –and I don’t mean this to sound derogatory – very normal, from being a life of pure craziness,” Louis concluded.
