Kurt Angle to take on Baron Corbin in his final showdown for WWE Wrestlemania; Read Details

Wrestling star Kurt Angle made heads turn almost a month ago when he walked into packed stadium in Oregon, USA, to talk about his retirement and WWE career. He was supposed to make a huge announcement and rumours were rife that the possible announcement was regarding Angles’ future in WWE and his retirement. Instead, wrestler Baron Corbin came out and asked Kurt Angle to wrap up. He said that Kurt was responsible for his situation. He also added that Kurt should have given this speech two years ago and called him a “broken down shadow of a man.”

Now, we do know that Kurt Angle is bidding goodbye to the ring, and in his final showdown, the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist will be facing none other than Baron Corbin who had asked him to bow out in February. WWE Wrestlemania’s official Twitter page confirmed the news on Tuesday morning and stated: “WWE Hall of Famer @RealKurtAngle will have one last match at #WrestleMania, and his final opponent will be @BaronCorbinWWE!”

Kurt Angle had recently revealed on RAW that he will wrestle his last ever bout at WrestleMania on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York. He teased another potential clash with John Cena during a backstage interview, where he also mentioned a series of other big names. He said, “There were a lot of names that were thrown in there. From Cena, to AJ Styles, to Samoa Joe, to Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashle. So you never know who it’s gonna be. I just hope that I do win and have a great WrestleMania moment.”
