Koffee With Karan: Ishqbaaaz star Shrenu Parikh slams Hardik Pandya’s sexist remarks, says ‘What A Shame’

Ishqbaaaz star Shrenu Parikh is quite active on social media and every day, the actress treats her fans with a series of pictures, candid selfies, and fun videos. But looks like today, the actress was in no mood to have fun and instead, posted a message on her social media channel taking a rather sly dig at Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul. Shrenu wrote, “Importance of education! You don’t get carried away by a mere show’s nature #WHATASHAMW.” Although Shrenu hasn’t mentioned the cricketer’s name, however, it is amply clear that she is pointing towards them.

It all started on the couch of the sixth season of Koffee With Karan when Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya and batsman K L Rahul were asked a volley of questions by the host, Karan Johar and their racist answers earned them the ire of the public because soon after the show, Twitterverse bashed Hardik Pandya for his sexist remarks. During the show, Hardik Pandya was seen boasting about sending the same texts to multiple women, hooking up with multiple women and not asking names of women at parties. Moreover, Hardik Pandya got talking about virginity and how he informed his parents that he lost his virginity in a funny manner.

Later, Hardik took to social media to apologize for his comments as he wrote, “After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologize to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect.” However, as they say, the damage was done, and in the latest development, Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul have been sent back to India from Australia to face a committee set up to probe their sexist and inappropriate comments on the show and the two have been suspended.
