Before we saw Hollywood stalwarts Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio buddy up for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, we had Mr. Pitt playing a vampire alongside Tom Cruise. The year was 1994 and the film was Interview with the Vampire. Directed by Neil Jordan, Interview with the Vampire was about Lestat (Cruise) transforming Louis (Pitt) into a vampire as well as their turning of the young girl Claudia (Kirsten Dunst). Kirsten was just 12 when she starred alongside Brad and Tom.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Dunst got candid about starring in the film along with such prolific actors, at such a tender age. Kirsten, now 37, was quick to point out her age difference with Pitt, now 55, and Cruise, now 57. “I feel like I watched Brad in A River Runs Through and Tom was in Far and Away, which I loved. They treated me like a little sister. It was very sweet, I was a very innocent 12-year-old. I was just doing my job and they were very sweet to me,” the actress revealed.
Interestingly, Kirsten was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama category for her work in Interview with the Vampire.
Meanwhile, Kirsten will next be seen in the television series, On Becoming a God in Central Florida. Brad’s latest release is Once Upon A Time In Hollywood while Tom will next be seen in Top Gun: Maverick.
