When a big budget film releases the pressure increase on the makers to recover the film with the collections made at the box-office.
Recently, it was reported that Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 satellite rights were sold for about INR 110 crore to Zee. Talking about it, Raju Mahalingam, COO of Lyca Production and the producer of the film tweeted, “It’s true Lyca Productions gets a partner in Zee for our mega opus 2.0 Satellite.”
Today, at the trailer launch event of Baahubali 2, Karan Johar was asked about this deal and how star power is important for such deals. To which he said, “Yes, of course, it matters. And I think coming together of two humongous stars from two different parts of the country in a huge film will definitely make the satellite deal exciting.”
He added, “It seems to be a humongous mainstream film. So, we should all know that by now that stars matters.”
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is also a movie made on a grand scale and split into two parts as the story was long and couldn’t be completed in one film.
The trailer of the film which was unveiled in four different languages was well-received by the audience and the viewership is increasing minute-by-minute.
The movie stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati in the leads and they were present today along with director SS Rajamouli at the trailer launch held in the city.
