Kangana Ranaut on Dhaakad: It took all my strength to lift the gun, I could barely hold it

There’s no denying that Kangana Ranaut is one of the most versatile and hard working actors of the industry- be it Tanu Weds Manu, Queen, Judgementall Hai Kya, or Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut goes the extra mile to prep up for her role. And post Judgementall Hai Kya, Kangana will be seen in Dhaakad as a few days back, the makers of the film had dropped the poster of the film in which Kangana was seen holding a machine gun in her hand and stainding in what looks like a battle field. Drenched in blood and sweat, Kangana Ranaut is all ready to fight it out in the battle.

Now, as you can tell, in the poster of the film, Kangana is seen holding a machine gun and talking about it, the Queen actress said that she had to undergo training with an M4 carbine gun to shoot for the teaser of the actioner and the gun was so heavy that she could barely hold it. “The gun was so heavy that I could barely hold it,” said Ranaut. Moreover, Kangana Ranaut said that the director had a good laugh seeing Kangana struggle with the gun. “It took all my strength to lift the gun, and firing blanks was even more difficult. My director was having a good laugh, seeing me struggle with it. Hopefully, he will make me use dummy guns for the film’s shoot,” informs Kangana. The teaser of Dhakaad will be out tomorrow and fans cant wait to see Kangana in a never seen avatar before.

Dhakaad, directed by Razneesh Ghai, is a out and out action film, and since the director hails from an army background, therefore, he wanted to employ real guns and not dummy ones. “Being an army kid, I have a lot of knowledge about weapons. I thought it was necessary to use a real gun as you can easily make out [a fake one] on screen,” said the director. Dhakaad will hit the screens on Diwali 2020 and the film will have international action directors choreographing the stunts. As reported, Dhakaad is expected to go on floors in February.
