Varun Dhawan, who celebrated his birthday yesterday, is all set to feature in the film Street Dancer helmed by Remo D’Souza. He has been shooting in London, with Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor. Apart from this movie, he will be seen reprising Govinda’s role in the Coolie No 1 remake and the same will be helmed by his father, David Dhawan.
Director David Dhawan and producer Vashu Bhagnani yesterday made an official announcement about the film and its cast comprising Varun and Sara Ali Khan. The movie will be an out and out comedy and is being written by Farhad Samji, who was the writer of Judwaa 2 and the same was super successful.
When TOI asked Farhad if there is a possibility of Judwaa 3, he told, “Judwaa 3 needs a good story; the idea has to have a lot of potential. For instance, there was a seven-year gap between two Golmaal films because we didn’t find an idea that was good enough to take the franchise forward. It’s the same case here. We can’t just go around making a film because a producer like Sajid Nadiadwala trusts us. As a writer and as a filmmaker, it’s my responsibility to ensure we don’t make a film for the heck of it.” Varun will also be seen in Rannbhoomi which is a Dharma production.
