It has been a long time that the reports about the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s cult classic Satte Pe Satta have been doing the rounds. It was reported that Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty will be collaborating for the remake. The media reports also suggested that Hrithik Roshan will be stepping into Big B’s shoes for Satte Pe Satta remake. This wasn’t all. The speculations are also rife that he will be romancing Anushka Sharma for the first time on the big screen in the remake.
And while an official announcement is yet to be made, Farah is enjoying the guessing game among the audience. To note, the Satte Pe Satta remake will be helmed by Farah while Rohit Shetty will be bankrolling the project. Addressing the reports regarding the remake, the Main Hoon Naa director said that they will be making an official announcement soon and until then everything is mere speculation. “Unless we come together and make a proper official announcement, everything is speculation,” Farah had told Times Of India. Furthermore, the ace filmmaker also stated they will be making the big announcement about the much talked about remake on Diwali this year.
“I am waiting for Rohit, because he is quite occupied these days, finishing the last leg of the shooting of his film Sooryavanshi. Let people continue guessing and the reports run. I would still say those are all speculation,” she added. With Diwali around the corner, it is expected that Rohit and Farah will certainly have some big dhamaka for their fans this year.
To recall, Farah had announced her collaboration with Rohit early this year. Expressing her joy over collaborating with Simmba director, she said that she is excited and happy to be on this journey with Rohit. While she didn’t divulge in any details about the project, Farah did emphasise that their new project will be “the mother of all entertainers”.
Meanwhile, Rohit also can’t stop praising Farah and is looking forward to his collaborating with her. Calling her a talent powerhouse, he said, “It’s a privilege for my production company to have Farah on board to direct a film for us as she is extremely talented and hard-working. It will definitely be a wonderful association.”
