Game of Thrones Season 8 marked the end for the iconic television series which made household names out of actors like Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke. Kit, in paticular, was widely known for his role as Jon Snow, which he played for 11 glorious years. Hence, when the end came close, it hit Harington hard. Post the ultimate end of GOT, Kit checked into a wellness facility in Connecticut for stress and alcohol use. It costs $120,000 a month.
Confirming the reports was Kit’s publicist who had said, “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.” In recent updates, according to People magazine, an insider has provided details on how Kit’s rehab stint is going on. “He seems to have the right attitude on self-improvement and positive growth… With the proper help, he [will] stay in good mental condition, and can get a grip on what is next” the source revealed to People.
Harington was overstressed for the longest time and is now trying to tame his demons. Game of Thrones meant the world for the star and saying goodbye to the show, which gave him everything, was a difficult process. Playing a role as intimidating and vulnerable as Jon Snow, at a tender age, was extremely stressful for the actor. When it finally came to an end, Kit needed help “to figure things out and be himself — to just be Kit.”
