South filmmaker, A R Murugadoss made his directorial debut in Bollywood in 2008 with Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini which was a huge blockbuster. His next was Akshay Kumar’s Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, released last year which again performed well at the box office.
For some time now there have been talks about the director teaming up with Salman Khan post wrapping Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira. The film is supposed to be produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri who had collaborated with the star on Bodyguard, in 2011. And now the director has confirmed his meeting with Atul in the coming week.
Says Murugadoss from Chennai, “Yes, I would love to do a film with Salman but currently I am tied up with Akira which is coming up for release. So I don’t want to get confused at this point of time.” He further said, “But, I will be meeting Atul next week, we will discuss and decide.” Salman is currently busy shooting for Yashraj Films’ and Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan. After Akira, Murugadoss will get busy directing a Telugu film. Besides that, he will once again collaborate with Akshay for a Hindi remake of a Tamil film called Ikka, which will be directed by his first assistant, Jagan.
