Ed Sheeran opens up about Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun controversy after major backlash from Swifties

Taylor Swift had headlines going rife when she took to Tumblr to post a scathing blog about Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun. The You Need To Calm Down singer was pissed when she found out that Scooter, who she refers to as a major bully, now owned her entire music catalogue because he acquired Big Machine Records for $300 million. The music industry was left divided over who to support. While loyalists like Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato were on Team Scooter, besties like Cara Delevingne and Camila Cabello took Team Taylor’s side.

Ed Sheeran, who is a close friend of Taylor’s, remained tight-lipped during the entire ordeal and Swifties were angry beyond belief. The singer’s fans called out Sheeran for not talking about the controversy, being an influential musician. “Just because he didn’t post anything it doesn’t mean he is not supporting her, maybe he’s talking with her right now, who knows,” an Instagram user defended Ed. The Perfect singer also took to Instagram to reply on the hate stating, “I have been speaking directly to her like I always do.”

Meanwhile, Ed recently collaborated with Justin for the very first time. Their single I Don’t Care is a summer bop hit and a chartbuster.

On the other hand, Scooter’s wife Yael Cohen Braun blasted Swift on Instagram calling her the actual bully in the controversy.
