Looks like the World Cup fever is quite high as after the real match in July, team ’83 will be shooting the reel match of 1983 at Lord’s. Yes, you heard it right. The climax of the upcoming Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh movie is going to be shot in July right after the World Cup 2019 schedule wraps up. According to the reports in Mid Day, the layout for the shooting has been designed in such a manner that major portions will be shot by mid July.
The final match of 1983 where Kapil’s daredevils take on the then favourites West Indies is scheduled for July end where the team will reimagine that iconic victory for India and live it all over again, this time, on reel. Deepika will be joining the team at Lord’s since she plays Romi, Kapil’s wife and also, the movie will be highlighting the anecdote about how Romi left the match midway assuming India’s defeat, however, when the wickets were falling and she wished to get in, she couldn’t because she had given her pass away.
Also, the team has already shot for yet another memorable match which saw India take on Zimbabwe where Kapil Dev played a good innings scoring 175 runs off 138 balls. Now, that looks like quite the fun schedule for the team ahead and with them shooting the climax already, we just can’t wait for the movie to hit the theatres in April 2020.
