25 years ago, a runaway bride burst through the doors of Central Perk, looking for her college friend Monica Geller. She moves in with her friend and becomes friends with Monica’s friends. This includes Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and her brother Ross Geller. Over the course of 10 years, we would laugh, cry and have them be there for us. 2004 marked the end of an era as our beloved six friends bid adieu to one of the greatest sitcoms, ever made!
The cast of Friends, barring Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry, who don’t have Instagram accounts, took to their IG pages a little early to commemorate 25 years since the show premiered (original date: September 22, 1994). The four cast members, i.e. Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer shared a still of the six actors from a promo shoot and wrote special messages for their fans. Courteney wrote, “Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. Thank you to all of our loyal fans across the world. You’ve certainly been there for us! I love these guys! @schwim @lisakudrow @mleblanc #seriouslyjen? #youtoomatthew #friends.”
Lisa wrote, “Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. We might be in different places but we are connected #STILLTHEREFORYOU #FRIENDS #friends25thanniversary #TWITTER @MATTHEWPERRY #COMEONALREADYJEN.” Matt wrote, “Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. Seems like yesterday. Thanks to all the fans for watching. #friends #friends25 @lisakudrow @schwim @courteneycoxofficial #jenniferaniston #matthewperry.” David wrote, “Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago… THANK YOU to all the fans out there!! We couldn’t have done it without you. Big love to the other five #friends #jenniferaniston #courteneycox #lisakudrow #mattleblanc #matthewperry #FRIENDS25 #STILLTHEREFORYOU.”
