Ayushmann Khurrana on writing a book of poems: I would love to do it because I want to share with people

Ayushmann Khurrana is the man of the hour, having delivered two super-hit films in 2018- Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho. While Ayushmann is basking in all the love and attention that he is getting from the nation, it is a known fact that this Paani Da Rang actor is a talented boy. From acting, dancing, singing to writing poems, 34-year-old Ayushmann is a jack of all trades. While we have seen him sing and dance, his social media posts are a proof of the amazing shayari’s that he writes. For all those who don’t know, Ayushmann Khurrana is a published author, having released his book- Cracking The Code: My Journey in Bollywood (2015).

And when you write such amazing shayari’s on social media for your fans, it is only natural for everyone to think that he’d publish a book of poetry and when Ayushmann was asked about it, the actor informed DNA, “I would love to do it. It’s just that I need to churn out more shayaris because most of them are out in the public domain. I need to save some, but I also don’t want to keep them hidden (laughs). I don’t know… What I write, I want to share with people. It’s an artistic yearning. Hopefully, the book will happen with time.”

Well, being an actor, Ayushmann doesn’t want to restrict himself to just that and wants people to know that he is a writer, too and just for that, Ayushmann started sharing his shayaris on social media as he says, “The idea behind it was to let people know that I write, and know me for that. I have no commercial aspirations related to my poetry. I am doing that with films and my music. This part of me (writing poetry) is for my sheer love for it.”

And when we read his social media Shayari’s, let’s admit, just like all the zillion fans, even we loved his piece of work and would want to read a book on them. “The kind of traction that I get for it is unbelievable. Sometimes it is around 2,000 retweets for them. I never thought something like this could ever happen,” he says. On the work front, next, Ayushmann will be seen in the film Dream Girl opposite Nushrat Bharucha. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Ayushmann recently posted the poster of Dream Girl and shared his first look in the film as he wrote, “As whacky as it can get! Here’s the first glimpse of my look in and as #DreamGirl. Thoughts?”
