Avengers: Endgame is the highly anticipated movie of the year and fans cannot wait for the movie to release in theatres. The global press tour has already started with Joe Russo, co-director coming to India. And now, Avengers: Endgame stars such as Brie Larson, Robert Downey Jr, Paul Rudd, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner had assembled at the Disney California Adventure Park for a donation drive
As per reports, Disneyland and the Avengers team donated US$ 5 million to the Starlight Children’s Foundation as part of the Avengers Universe Unites and the same will benefit children’s hospitals across the nation.
Avengers Universe Unites is the philanthropic division of Disney Team of Heroes. Talking about the donations, US$ 1 million in cash was donated by Disney and The LEGO Group, Hasbro, Funko and Amazon donated over US$ 4 million of Avengers: Endgame toys and products and the same will be sent to hundreds of kids’ hospitals as well as to a nonprofit resort Give Kids the World.
“The superheroes in Avengers personify traits like courage, perseverance, bravery and hope – the same traits countless kids and their families in children’s hospitals exhibit every day,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company who was also the part of celebrations. “We are grateful to have the Avengers cast take time out of their day to be a part of this effort to lift spirits and bring comfort to children during a difficult time.”
