Tom Holland is taking a social media break. The actor, who was last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home, has been the talk of the town due to Walt Disney, Marvel Studios and Sony’s deal. A few weeks ago, it was announced that the production houses’ deal reached an impasse. This left Spider-Man actor’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was in the dark until last weekend. On Friday, Sony and Marvel announced a new deal was on the table giving Holland to star in two more MCU movies, which would include Spider-Man 3.
A few days since MCU fans rejoiced Spider-Man’s return, Holland has taken to Instagram to announce that he is taking a break from social media. The British actor shared a picture with his dog and shared that he wouldn’t be sharing photos for a short time. Holland revealed that he was going on the break as he is going to be busy with the filming of his upcoming project with the Russo Brothers.
“My Pooch and Me. Off now to go begin my latest venture with the @therussobrothers I’m going to be taking a short break from instagram, so see you all in the not so distant future,” he wrote on the social media app.
Fans already know that Holland is reuniting with the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo for a non-MCU project. The trio is working on a film titled Cherry. The movie is based on Nico Walker’s book with the same title.
Cherry chronicles the story of the author, who was an Army medic who returned from Iraq. He returned home with extreme undiagnosed PTSD. He eventually fell into opioid addiction and eventually robbed banks. The author was caught and convicted in 2011.
